Bio

Betty Roades, age 90, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She is survived by her loving children: Ronald (Jane) Roades, Constance (John) Gorski, and Debora Bice; grandchildren: Aaron (Tracy) Roades, Stephanie (Gary) Roades-Sweeney, Philip (Lauren) Bice, and Jeff Bice; great-grandchildren: Stella Roades, Raigen Roades, Sophia, Madeleine, Ethan, and Joanna Bice; sisters: Mary Ellen (late Ross) Garling and Dorothy (late Leo) Peterson. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Nada Paschen; husband, Eugene Roades; sisters: Wilodene McMahn and Donna (Mel) Thomas; granddaughter, Heather Gorski. Mrs. Roades attended Hammond High School and went on to graduate from Gary Methodist School of Nursing in 1947. She retired from the Hammond Clinic. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Funeral services will be held privately by the family. Calumet Park Funeral Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
