"John M. Hines, 89 years, of Morse Bluff, NE passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Birchwood Manor in North Bend, NE. John was born to John O. and Marie (Vavak) Hines on August 19, 1927 in Morse Bluff. He graduated from North Bend High School. John married Adeline Vanek on February 8, 1949 at the Presbyterian Church in Prague, NE. He lived in Morse Bluff his entire life where he farmed. He enjoyed stock car racing and fishing. He was a church member and an Elder of the United Presbyterian Church in North Bend. He is survived by his wife, Adeline; sons, Jim (Diane) Hines of Morse Bluff, NE, John (Nancy) of Colleyville, TX, and Mark (Patrice) of Morse Bluff, NE; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Irv; and sister, Lillian Bauer. Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the United Presbyterian Church in North Bend. The Rev. Michael Hill will officiate. Visitation with family receiving friends will be Monday from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Killian Cemetery, near Morse Bluff. Memorial may be designated to: the United Presbyterian Church and Senior Center in North Bend." Moser Memorial Chapel, North Bend, Nebraska.
