ORD — Eileen Gertrude Pokorny, 101, of Ord died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. Pastor Dennis Davenport will officiate. Eileen was born Feb. 12, 1915, to Charles and Minette (Swinson) Liberski in Garfield County. On Feb. 7, 1935, Eileen married Joe Pokorny at Ord. She was preceded in death by her husband, and baby daughter, Barbara. Eileen is survived by her children, Richard and Thelma Pokorny of Burwell, Herman and Rose Pokorny of Scotia, Dorothy Dexter of Chambers, Ralph and Diana Pokorny of Quartz Hill, Calif., Foster and Toni Pokorny of Kiowa, Colo., Elizabeth Little of Omaha, Linda and Randy Homan of Louisville, Dennis and Karen Pokorny of Bartlett and Steve and Susan Pokorny of Lander, Wyo.; and a special nephew, Steve Collins and Teresa of Elizabethton, Tenn.; and 33 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
