Bio
Shaun Damon Starkey, age 46, passed from this life on May 16, 2015, in Royse City Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Carolyn Starkey; brother, Rodney Lynn Starkey II, both of Dallas, TX; and grandparents, Ben and Juanita Rowe and Tim Wall of Dallas, TX. Shaun is survived by his wife, Kristi Starkey; daughter, Madison; son, Mason Starkey, all of Royse City, TX; his father, Rodney Starkey, of Dallas, TX; grandparents, George and Beverly Starkey, of Oak Cliff, TX; father and mother-in-law, Eddie and Tammy Butts, of Corinth, TX and countless friends and extended family. Shaun was born on July 22, 1968 in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Skyline High School class of 1986 and worked as a self employed General Contractor for many years. Shaun married Kristi and they started their life's journey together in 1996 and were blessed with two children. Shaun loved his family and many close friends, he was a very social and active man who loved his music and softball was his passion. The guys who played beside him, he loved with all his heart. His family and friends will remember him as a man who would gladly lend a hand to anyone in times of need and was always the life of the party. Shaun was loved by so many, never met a stranger and left his mark everywhere he went. He will remain this day and forever in our hearts. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd at 2pm in Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel, 12649 Lake June Rd, Mesquite TX 75180. The family would like to thank everyone for the out pouring of love and support during this time.
