Bio

Douglas Rundle, 80, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Doug was born April 4, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Richard James Rundle and Teresa Gamble. In his youth, he lived in St. Anthony, Idaho and attended school in Idaho and Utah. He attended Granite High School in Utah. He lived most of his life in Southern California, in the Riverside Area. He moved back to Idaho in 1997, settling in Blackfoot. In 1954 Doug married Barbara M. Olsen. They had four children, Barbara, Doug Jr., Scott and Patrick. On August 4, 1966 he married Judith L. Wenner in Santa Ana, California. They had three children, Tim, Tammy and Tuesdee. He worked as a meat cutter in various stores and slaughter houses, as a laborer in construction and as an orderly in various hospitals. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and archery. His greatest joy was supporting his grandchildren in their activities. Doug was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He participated in the Meat Cutters Union, the Lion’s Club and the Kiwanis Club. He also bowled on a bowling league with his wife. Doug is survived by his children, Barbara LeMaster of Sacramento, CA, Doug (Jealine E. Bryant) Rundle Jr. of Priest River, ID, Scott (Cindy) Rundle of N. Liberty, IA, Patrick (Patricia) Rundle of Prince George, VA, Tim Rundle of Priest Lake, ID, Tamyra (Michael) Garza of Branson, MI and Tuesdee (Marty) Lampkin of Decatur, TX; his brothers, Walter, James, Bill, Rex, Clarence and Carl Rundle; sisters, Betty Dumas and Bernice Bradley; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judith; brother, Richard Rundle; and an infant brother, Patrick. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot.
