Bio

Bette June (Butz) Wolbert, age 92, passed away at Southlake Village on 28 Sep 2016. Bette was born on 18 Oct 1923 in Auburn, Nebraska, the daughter of Victor and Thelma (Hays) Butz . Bette married Elwood (Pete) Younker on 21 Nov 1942 in Nebraska City, and to that union two children were born. After Pete's death, Bette married David Wolbert on 15 Jan 1955 in Lucas, Kansas, and to that union four children were born. Bette spent most of her years living in Nebraska, cheering on her Husker football team, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all who met her. Bette was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Pete ; and her second husband, David . Bette is survived by her six children, Linda Franta, Blue Springs, MO; Michael Younker (Bobbi), Spring Lake, NC; Scott Wolbert (Mel), Beatrice, NE; Susan Hogg (Chris), Eagle, NE; Vicki Bourg (Patrick), Omaha, NE; Curtis Wolbert (Shannon), Lincoln, NE; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be with the family from 4 – 6pm on 2 Oct 2016 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home at 10am on 3 Oct 2016 with a reception following afterward. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the family, or to the "Capital Humane Society Pieloch Pet Adoption Center" in honor of the family.
