Lafon, 96, of McKinney, will be at 1 p.m. today at Horn-Harris-Crouch-Belew Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lonnie Murphy and Rev. Earl Burgess will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery, Greenville. She died Thursday in North Texas Medical Center. Born May 30, 1896, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Jim and Myrtle Mullins Bryson. She married Walter Lafon in Drake Hill on Nov. 27, 1915. Mrs. Lafon was a member of Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Marvin Ray Lafon of McKinney; two daughters, Marverine Mae Langley of Wills Point and Myrtle Murdough of Hughes Spring (sic); one brother, Jessie Lee Welborn of Rockwall; four sisters, Mabel Burchett and Inez Hatfield, both of Mesquite; Ethel Collier of Dallas, and Eva Heneger of McKinney; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great gandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rickie Lafon, Michael Lafon, Keith Dillard, Alvin Lafon and Randol Lafon.
