The Pawnee Chief Pawnee, Oklahoma Thursday, July 6, 1950, page 8 Miss Arnold Sets Late Summer Wedding Mr. and Mrs. William Arnold, formerly of Pawnee, now residing in Tulsa, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Bonnie Rae Arnold, to Weldon E. Hightower, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hightower, Haskell. The wedding will be a late summer event, being solemnized at 2:30 p.m. August 20 in the Lynn Lane Baptist church, with Rev. George R. Wikoff reading the vows. Miss Arnold attended elementary school in Jennings, Okla. and attended her first two years of high school in the Pawnee school. She was graduated from Will Rogers High school, Tulsa, where she was a member of the Kappa Keystoners social club. She attended Northeastern State College at Tahlequah, where she was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She is a member of the Order of the Rainbow in Tulsa and was an active member while living in Pawnee. She is the grand-daughter of the late Judge Frank Arnold, Jennings, who served as Justice of the Peace there until the time of his death. Mr. Hightower was graduated from high school in California and is now a senior at Northeastern college. He is a member of Alpha Chi, national honorary scholastic fraternity, and served 18 months with the armed forces in Korea.
