Bio
Olen Ray McCurley, 87, was called home to our Lord and Savior on August 1, 2016. Mr. McCurley was born Beauregard Parish July 21, 1929. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and moved to the Westlake area after being discharged from the Army. He was employed by Sears for 36 yrs. He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene Bell Mitchell McCurley, and step daughter, Jimmie Katherine Mitchell. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter; Lydia Anne McCurley, brother; Robert McCurley, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation to be held at Bellvue Baptist Church in Westlake, LA., Saturday August 6, 2016 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA.
