Robert Leito, 88, husband of Nancy, died Sept. 14, 2016. Military honors were held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Mon. Sept. 19, 2016. Kerr Bros-Main St. Published in Lexington Herald-Leader on Sept. 22, 2016 ∼ Robert Turner Leito, 88, husband of Nancy L. Leito , died peaceful on Wednesday , September 14, 2016 with his loving wife of 37 years by his side. Born in Houston, Texas on October 11, 1927 , he was the son of the late John and Minnie Casci and Frank Leito. Robert retired in 1977 after 31 years from the Federal Government , at which time he began to work at Taylor Made Farm. Robert was a World War II Veteran , a member of the American Legion and a proud Kentucky Colonel. Most importantly , he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather . Survivors other than his wife are his children, Maria Michelle Leito Johnson ( Jason ), Luke Moffett , Clyde Moffett ( Linda ), Lisa Moffett , Lori Collins ( Jim ), Johnny Leito, Robert M. Leito, James C. Leito, Theresa A. Leito, and Patricia A. Leito. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Gwyn, Lincoln , Caleb, and Elias Johnson, Elizabeth Taylor ( Bryan ), Howard Rice , Jr., Brian Noel, Kayla Duncan and Dean Moffett. ( Maggie ), as well as his many cherished great-grandchildren . Robert was a warm and funny man who brought much joy th those who knew him. He as loved deeply and will be greatly missed. He will be laid to rest on Monday, September 19, 202) at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with full military honors.
