Wanda Lee Pelley, 86, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 in Duncan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with Dan Vreeland officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Rush Springs. Wanda was born Thursday, February 13, 1930 in Rush Springs to Walter Lee and Lillian (Lowry) Baker. She lived in the Rush Springs area her entire life. She graduated from Rush Springs High School and went on to earn her Bachelors degree from USAO in Chickasha. She married her love, Ray Earnest Pelley in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 13, 1949 on her birthday, he preceded her in death on December 28, 2003. Wanda taught 5th grade at Rush Springs Public Schools for 22 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting and making things for her family. Living the country life and being a part of the farm was her way of life. She was known for her wonderful cooking, always happy to feed everyone. Wanda enjoyed all the season of her life. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Pelley, grandson, Derek Holt, great-granddaughter, Bailey Long, 2 brothers, Earl Don Baker and Samuel Baker and a sister, Linda June Baker. Pallbearers will be: Skylar Long, Connor Holt, Gaven Guerro, Dylan Guerro, Jeromy Metts and Daniel Pelley
