Bio

Lavina McFall was born 5 May 1837 in Warrick County, Indiana to Julius Augustus and Elizabeth Conner McFall. She married Joseph A. Shrode 15 November 1858 in Hopkins County, Texas. They had five children named Margaret H., Josephine, Louis Magruder, Rafe Calan, and Julius Caesar Shrode. Lavina McFall died 4 October 1898 in Hopkins County. She was buried in the Nelta Cemetery. No tombstone was found for Vina Shrode. Her burial record was shared by the Shrode family from an old hand-written transcription of Nelta Cemetery stones done by her son, Rafe Calan Shrode, in the 1930's.
