Bio
Mary Alice is a daughter of Joseph Barlow Forbes (1840-1927) and Nancy Mindrel Dayton (1851-1926). She was one of 13 children. She went by her middle name, Alice. On March 1, 1899, in Provo, Utah, Alice married Gustave Patrick Mallinger (1873-1963). They became the parents of a daughter, Nellie. Alice was divorced from Gustave and married to Byron Robert Crosby by the time Nellie was six months old. She married Byron on January 1, 1905. Alice and Byron became the parents of a son, Eugene Forbes. Byron died in 1933. Alice then married John Beck (1865-1940) on April 1, 1936, and when he died she married Herbert Bateman (1865-1960) on June 4, 1941 in Paragonah, Utah. Alice died in 1956 and is buried next to Byron Crosby.
