TWO CHILDREN BURN to DEATH in BARN at BRISTOW Bristow, Nebr., Oct. 21--Blanche and Marvin Blair, age 4 and 6 years, children of Mr. and Mrs. Wally Blair, northeast of town, were burned to death Saturday as a result of playing with matches in the barn. Mrs. Blair was busy with the family washing and Mr. Blair was in the field. Mrs. Blair saw the barn in flames and rushed to it, but when she opened the door the flames drove her back. She did not know at the time, whether the children were in the barn or not. They had taken the matches from the house. The barn was burned to the ground. One horse also perished. Funeral services were held Sunday at Gross. Besides their father and mother, they are survived by a brother and a sister.--Norfolk News. ...The Creighton News 31 Oct 1929
