GRIGGS, Okla. — Marvin Russell Cryer, 91, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, in Elkhart, Kan. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Marella Cemetery in Griggs with Jeff Booth officiating. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mr. Cryer was born Nov. 15, 1924, in Cimarron County to James T. and Amelia DeJarnette Cryer. He married Aleta Dougherty on Aug. 9, 1947, in Raton, N.M. Survivors include his children, Steve Cryer of Texhoma and Sharon LaRue and Karen McGuire, both of Elkhart; a brother, Vernon Cryer of Boise City; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Marella Cemetery, in care of the mortuary. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 26, 2016
