"Rose A. Havlovec, 104 years, of Fremont, NE passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Providence Place in Fremont. Rose was born April 29, 1912 in Morse Bluff, NE to John and Filomena (Eckstein) Hladky. Rose grew up in Morse Bluff and attended school there. Rose married Victor V. Havlovec on November 27, 1951 in North Bend. He preceded her in death February 8, 2001. They moved to Fremont in 1954 where they farmed and gardened. Rose lived in Sioux City, Iowa several years after her husband's death, returning to Fremont in 2011. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Cedar Hill, near Morse Bluff and St. Charles Catholic Church at North Bend. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; brothers, Adolph, Ed, Joe, Emil, Cyril, and Jim Hladky; and sister, Mary Buresh. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, August, 27, 2016.at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, at Cedar Hill near Morse Bluff. Father Jeremy Hazuka will officiate. Visitation from 9 AM to 10 AM with a Rosary at 10 AM on Saturday all at church. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery near Morse Bluff. Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
