Bio
Selma Berniece Wood was the eldest of seven known children of James Thomas Stevenson (1895-1965) and his first known wife, Bessie Ovida Tyler (1902-1951), who married 11 Nov 1917 at Center, Shelby County, Texas. After Bessie died, James remarried to Norma Erwin, but had no known additional children. Selma first married to Ura Amerine Matthews (1899-1975) on 24 Jul 1936 in presumably Texas. Selma and Ura were the parents of two known children, namely: 1. living son Matthews (1940-???) 2. living daughter Matthews (1942-???) Selma and Ura divorced, and Selma remarried to Enlow Cornelius Birdwell (1902-1974) on 25 Mar 1945 at presumably Texas. Selma and Enlow were the parents of two known children, namely: 3. Steven Enlow Birdwell (1945-1971) 4. living daughter Birdwell (1947-???) After Enlow died, Selma remarried to Robert Alexander Wood (1886-1983) on 29 Feb 1980 at Crockett, Houston County, Texas, but had no known additional children.
