Bio
Markay E. Campbell was called home on August 19, 2016 to his Father in Heaven and rejoined with his sweetie of thirty-seven years. He was born December 21, 1934 in Austin to John Larvin Campbell and Margaret Pope Campbell. He graduated from Springville High School in 1953. He married Ida Mae Loveridge and later divorced. He married his "Sweetie," Arlyne Shepherd on September 22, 1972. Markay drove for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for forty-five years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, gardening, riding ATV's, and camping. He loved spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children, DeAnne C. Parker (Roy) and Marilyn C. Poulsen (Todd); step-children, Stan Burt (Linda), Diane Taylor (Philip), and Dennis Pitt (Teresa); twin sister, Marquitta Larson; twenty grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Arlyne; sons, Bryan M. Campbell and Terry D. Campbell; step-daughter, Julie Fikstad; and brothers, Voyle, Floyd, Garn, Cecil, and Aldon. A visitation will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Grave dedication will take place in the Valley View Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on August 21, 2016.
