She was a former resident of Leonard. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today in the Dudley M. Hughes Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jess Jackson will officiate. Graveside services will be at the Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville. Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Smith; a daughter (sic), Mrs. Francis Waller of Dallas, a son, Ray Newman of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Bob Anderson of Greenville and Mrs. Beulah Higgins of Dallas; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Previous spouse may have been: Bernie Victor Newman (1901 - 1965)
