Kate passed away from this life November 8, 2006. She led a long and happy life and passed away with many family members at her side, including Gail Godsey a close niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Walker, Major-Army Retired, USA. Kate was a longtime member of the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. She worked with her husband in the family business, Walker Steel Buildings in addition to being a wonderful mother and wife. Kate is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, Jan and Jon Long and Patti and Charlie Daniel; five grandchildren, Chuck Gibson, Don Gibson, Cyndi Gibson, Cheri Swift and Lauren Daniel; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Bennye VanCleve and many other family and friends. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Chapel Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10 AM.
