Married first, 1883 Holland, John Namen Bouma Another child, Willie, died young NE Married second, Oct 20 1921 NE, Jacob Van Wieren ------------------------------ Services Monday for Mrs. Frances VanWieren Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Congregational church of Arcadia, Rev. Earl Gunsolley officiating, for Mrs. Frances Bouma Van Wieren, who passed away December 8, 1949, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Dunlap. Mrs. Van Wieren was born in Yist, Holland, June 18, 1861, and at the time of her death was 88 years, 5 months, and 20 days of age. She was educated in the public schools of Holland and was a member of the Holland Reform church. Her marriage to John N. Bouma of Sneek, Holland, took place in 1883 and to this marriage five children were born in Holland, Anna Dunlap, Reimer Bouma, Namen Bouma, all of Arcadia, Oba Bouma of Amarillo, Texas, and Martin Bouma of Belva, Okla. They came to the United States in 1897 and settled at Linwood, Nebraska. Here two children were born, Willie who died in infancy, and Jane M. Anderson of Ord. At Linwood they transferred their membership form the Reform church to the Congregational church. They moved to a farm north of Arcadia in 1904, and after the death of Mr. Bouma on May 8, 1917, Mrs. Bouma and Jane lived in Arcadia. She was married to Jacob Van Wieren October 20, 1921, who preceded her in death on September 6, 1940. She is survived by 2 daughters, 4 sons, 22 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren; a brother, John Abma of Sneek, Holland, and a host of other relatives and friends.
