As a young man Vince was heavily involved in the football program at his school, LaMarque High School, where he played both offense and defense beginning as an eighth grader on Varsity. Vince spent his career in the oil and gas industry. While at Union Carbide, Vince worked initially as an operator and moved into management. He was responsible for the implementation of The Process Technology School which continues to exist at College Of The Mainland. He was also sent on special assignment to Brazil to oversee the startup of a new refinery. From Carbide Vince went to work for ARCO Oil and Gas in the HR Department where he again assumed responsibilities for company training. His group produced materials currently being used by many other companies worldwide. Vince's greatest talent however was working with people. He had a natural talent, one which allowed him to understand a situation and help an individual discover for himself/herself their personal course of action that needed to be taken. His natural smile and good nature made him an instant favorite and trusted person among family and friends as well as with clients. He began Vince Hall and Associates in 1996 and quickly gained status as a Master Coach. His ability to guide, mentor and gently push an individual to discover the best that resides within each of them was unsurpassed. Vince is survived by his wife, Margie for whom he was the best husband and friend a person could ever hope to have. Vince had two daughters; Sheri Hall and Debbie Davidson and son-in-law, Tig Davidson. He also had three grandsons; Garet Davidson, Jeff Davidson, and Kyle Davidson and wife Crissy, as well as two great granddaughters, Kylie and Kennedy. Vince will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews and extended family. Vince was preceded in death by mother, Lennie and father, Vincent Hall, Sr., and two sisters, Bonnie and Ruby. A memorial gathering will be held to honor Vince for the man he was and the goodness he exuded. The date will be announced. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Shiners Burn Hospital in Galveston or The Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. Aug 16 2016 Galveston Daily News
