Obituary: Funeral services were held for Bessie Duvall Cash, 89, of Clifton on Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Clifton, with Dr. Jerry Smith officiating. Bessie Caroline Duvall was born on August 24, 1912 in the Garnersville community of Bosque County to Harry and Lela Foust Duvall. She passed away on Monday, February 11, 2002, in Clifton. She attended Union High School in Kopperl. On April 25, 1931, she married Arthur Herman (Pete) Cash. The couple had six children. Bessie Cash was baptized and joined the Union Hill Baptist Church at the age of 14. She met Pete Cash at a track meet in 1930, and after a year of courtship, they married. They made their home in Bosque County and Clifton all of their lives. They celebrated 57 years of marriage together until Pete's death on March 22, 1988. She loved reading, sewing, cooking, and taking care of her home. She also loved to travel and enjoyed opportunities to learn about the world. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and a faithful neighbor to a number of people in the community. One of her greatest joys was having her family come for visits. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, and by her daughter, Betty Marshall and her husband Harry. Survivors include two daughters, Florence Bremer and husband, Bob, of Fort Worth, and Lela Temple and husband, Boyce, of Clifton; three sons and their wives, Jerry and Jo Harriet Cash of Clifton, Harry and Sondra Cash of Richardson, and Gary and Terry Cash of Liberty; one sister, Carrie Standifer of Clifton; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers include Donald Cash, Kenny Outlaw, Keith Outlaw, Timothy Lightfoot, Terry Lightfoot, and Randy Wiggins. Interment was in Clifton Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Clifton Funeral Home. (Obituary provided by Michael Lewis Seljos, great-nephew. Source unknown) -------------------------
