2006-07-10 Louise E. Lay Ray, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday. She was a native of Wayne County, retired from Murray, a homemaker and a member of the Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Robert Ray of Hohenwald and Jerry Ray of Lawrenceburg, one daughter, Jane Dye and one brother, Alvin Lay both of Lawrenceburg. 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren survive. Burial will be in the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. ******** Louise E. Lay Ray, age 86 of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006 at her residence. She was a native of Wayne County and retired from Murray Inc. and a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church on Factory Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents: David and Mary Ann McGee Lay; her husband: Alfred Ray; one son: Terry Ray and one daughter: Phyllis Jean Ray. She is survived by two sons: Robert Ray of Hohenwald, TN and Jerry Ray of Larenceburg, TN; one daughter: Jane Dye; one brother Alvin Lay both of Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral services for Louise E. Lay Ray were conducted Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel with Chad Clanton, Edd Lopp and Fulton Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
