Obituary from the San Angelo Standard Times, Thursday, 24 April 1986, page 2A. G E MARTIN ALPINE--------G E "Bud" Martin, 81, of Marathon died Tuesday in Brewster Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Saturday in Marathon Cemetery, directed by Geeslin Funeral Home. Martin was born Jan 27, 1905, in Marathon. A Marathon resident 20 years, he was a retired inspector for the Arizona State Board of Entomology. Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Horner and Jackie Duckworth, both of California, and Vonelle Davis of Fort Worth; two sons, G E Martin Jr of Fort Worth and Paul Martin of California; three sisters, Gladys Youngblood and Jean Gault, both of Pecos, Gertrude Mills of Cresson; and several grandchildren.
