Lizzie Mae “Liz” Braniff passed away on August 4, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 83. Liz was born on May 31, 1933 at Pat Leon Creek, Hawthorn, Texas to Nay and Ethel Smith. She married her best friend, Jack Braniff in 1953, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Vernon Taylor, Herman Smith, Walter Smith and Nay Smith. Family Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 4PM to 7PM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10AM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Kenedy Cemetery, Kenedy, TX.
