Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Thursday, 3 December 1992 BURWELL - Vernon McBride, 77, of Burwell, formerly of Sargent, died Monday, Nov. 30, at Burwell. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eberle Funeral Home in Burwell. The Rev. Mark Hanna will officiate. Burial will be in Bartlett Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family. Mr. McBride was born Dec. 17, 1914, at Akron to David and Hattie (Rieck) McBride. Survivors include five sons, Marvin McBride of Sargent, Terry McBride and Gene McBride of Burwell, Charles Crawford of Allen and Clayton Crawford of Paxton; three daughters, Charlene Spanel of Anselmo, Charlotte Hood of Oshkosh and Kim Leggett of Satanta, Kan.; two brothers, Gilbert McBride of Grand Island and August McBride of Burwell; one sister, Dorothy Ackerman of Petersburg; 22 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
