Bio
Thelma W. Singleton, 86, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016, in Waxahachie, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016, at the J. E. Keever Mortuary in Ennis. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2016, in the J. E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis with Rev. Kenneth Cashion officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery. Thelma was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Leonard and Beulah (Hill) Walker. She grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis High School. On June 7, 1957, she married Leo Singleton. Thelma worked for Proctor and Gamble for over 40 years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She enjoyed fishing and traveling. She is preceded in death by her brother, Leon Walker. Survivors include her husband, Leo Singleton; sister, Bobbie Hill; a nephew; two nieces; and other relatives and many friends.
