Mr. Sanford "Sandy" Horace Gray, age 74 of Frisco City, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his home. Mr. Gray was born in Baldwin County, had lived in Mobile for several years, and had moved to Monroe County in 2000. He was a member of Mexia Baptist Church. Mr. Gray worked with UOP (formerly Union Carbide) as a chemical operator. He served in the United States Army National Guard for several years. Mr. Gray is preceded in death by his parents, Sanford H. Gray and Edna Kendrick Gray. Survivors include his wife, Frances Busey Gray of Frisco City; his son, Sanford Gray of Mobile; his daughter, Deanna Gray Close and husband Brenden of Frisco City; his sister, Joyce Willisson of Mobile; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Mexia Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Frisco City. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church. Monroe Chapel Funeral Home 8/9/2016
