Bio
In September, 1927, James D. McDonnell, 19, married Ruth A. Crisman, 17, in Omaha, Nebraska. They were blessed with at least one son, Thomas J, who sadly died in 1971, at age 18. In 1956, James and Ruth were living at 2606 1/2 Rees, Omaha, Nebraska. That year James was working as a crane operator for the Union Pacific Railroad. James died at age 83 April 13, 1989. Ruth died earlier, March 1, 1977. They are buried side by side in Calvary. obituary printed in the Thursday, March 3, 1977 p. 24 Ruth A. McDonnell, 66, of 2969 Harris Street, Omaha, Nebraska, passed away. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James D.; 3 sons, Paul, United States Navy, San Diego, CA; William C., James D.; daughters Mrs. Helen Hellman, Mrs. Rita Zadalis; sisters Clara Graham, all Omaha, Helen Polacek, Bruno, NE; 25 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral 9:30am Thursday from the Mortuary to St. Peter's Church, 10am. Interment Calvary. Rosary 7:30pm Wednesday at the Mortuary.
