Bio
Helen B. Hoelscher, 86, of Rosebud, Texas, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, in a Bryan hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Rosebud with Dr. Carl H. Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Helen Dell was born in Travis, Texas, to the late Henry Alfred and Mary Ellen (Chatham) Buster. She married Clarence Hoelscher in 1943 and together they owned and operated the Hoelscher Funeral Home in Rosebud from 1958 until his death in 1971, after which she operated the funeral home until 1988. She was a former cub scout leader and former member of the Rosebud Garden Club and a member of the First Baptist Church in Rosebud. She is survived by her son, Mike Hoelscher and wife, Nita, of College Station; grandchildren, Matt Hoelscher, of Conroe and Jennie Hoelscher, of Austin; and sister-in-law, Edith Hoelscher, of Austin.
