Frank Witt, 75, Dies; Services Held Wednesday Frank Witt, 75, died Nov. 18, at the Valley County Hospital following a lingering illness. Services were held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Hastings-Pearson Chapel in Ord with the Rev. John Nordgaard officiating. Interment was in the Ord City Cemetery. Frank Witt was born at Elmwood, Apr. 5, 1892, the son of August and Magdelina (Dickman) Witt. He was married to Ella Hansen at Ord, Jan. 22, 1912. He moved to Ord as a young man and had lived in Burwell the past 20 years where he operated a shoe store for several years until retiring from business in 1957. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Woodrow of Taylor, Donald of Potter and Russell of Kansas City, Mo., three daughters, Fern Nelson of Burbank, Calif., Vera Nicholson of Hartford, Conn., and Rhoda Miller of Carbondale, Colo.; two sisters, Annie Lindhartsen of Aberdeen, Ida., and Margaret Anderson of Burwell; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
