World War II Veteran of the Battle of Iwo Jima & Kansas Gamma President Second Lieutenant Robert Stoddard, U.S. Marine Corps died of wounds he received the previous day during fighting on Iwo while serving in Company B, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment.
