Bio

Mrs. Abbigail Jane Curry, 93, died at 11.a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glen Stoher, 414 Evergreen Street. She was the daughter of Mary and David Aldridge, born September 8, 1853, in Davis county. She moved to Ottumwa in 1922, and had lived here ever since. After the death of her first husband, Jess Ramsey, she remarried. Her second husband, Denmer Curry, also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four sons and one daughter. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Caldwell of Milan, Mo, and Mrs. Stoher, three sons, Bert E. Curry , Kellerton, Iowa, Roy E. Curry, Fort Edward, N.Y. and Clifford E. Curry, Ottumwa. There are 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Sarah A. Matthews, Skidmore, Mo., and Mrs. Mattie Scott, Eugene, Ore., also survive. Mrs. Curry was a member of the First Christian church of Kellerton, Iowa. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel, awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
