THOMAS EDWARD WEIR Arlington Texas 06-04-1932 ~ 04-27-2012 Thomas Edward Weir, Jr. passed away on April 27th at the age of 79 at his home in Arlington, TX. He was born June 4, 1932 in Bald Prairie, TX to Thomas and Ruby Weir. He is survived by his son, Troy Weir and wife Julie of Edge, TX, their children: Josh, Blake and Alyssa, his daughter, Cathlyn Fierro and son Thomas of Hewitt, NJ. He is also survived by a brother, Jimmy Weir of Alvin, TX, a sister, Shirley Dale and husband Bobby of Cedar Hill, TX, his brother Larry Weir and wife Phyllis of Kaufman, TX. and many loving nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marilyn Annette of 44 years, his parents, his brother Luther Alton Weir and his sister Carolyn Newcomb. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955. He then worked as a conductor for Santa Fe Railroad for 45 years, retiring in 1997. He was a master mason in good standing. He was a gifted storyteller and a devoted husband, father and friend. An informal memorial gathering will be held this Saturday, May 5th at the Bald Prairie Cemetery in Bald Prairie, TX.
