A funeral service for Clarice Roberg Richards, 74, of Gainesville, is set for 10:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Clarice was born on October 20, 1941 in Gainesville to Frank William and Loretta Rose (Loerwald) Roberg. She passed away on July 23, 2016 in Denton. Clarice started St. Mary's Catholic School in 1947, attending until the 8th grade when she transferred to GISD, graduating Gainesville High School in 1959. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Texas University, and taught in the GISD for over 30 years. She lived for her family and the children she taught throughout the years. Clarice is survived by her son James Richards and his wife Silvia of Gainesville; daughter Cheryl Watts and her husband Doug of Culpepper, VA; daughter Cynthia Shell and her husband Charles of Gainesville; grandchildren Zachary Shell, Ashley Richards, and Alan Richards; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother William "Bill" Roberg. Memorial contributions may be made to Noah's Ark Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.
