Joann Wiggins Huegele passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the age of 83. She was born November 30, 1932 in Maypearl, Tx. She is preceded in death by her parents, B.L. Wiggins and Dollie Williams. Joann is survived by her husband of 19 years, Kevin Huegele; her son from a previous marriage, David Jordan; 4 grandchildren Lori Jordan, Michael Jordan, Michelle Padron, husband Jose, and Lindsey Massey, husband Douglas; 6 great grandchildren Joshua Quijada, Jonathan Padron, Sean Padron, Brandon Padron, Haley Jordan, and London Massey. Joann had a full life that she enjoyed sharing with others. She started working as a typist at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, and worked her way up to chief resources and requirements and a staff civil engineer. She worked for more than 30 years before her retirement. Joann was best known for being "grandma". Not just to her own grandchildren, but to other children. She would go to the local junior high and all the children would greet her with "Hi, Grandma". She also loved babies. She loved holding them and then giving them back to their parents. She would refer to all the babies as "freshly hatched". Joann loved her family very much, but she also loved her dogs. From her sweet baby, Bruce, to her two new babies, Tex and Lucy, she had great joy for the animals in her life. Visitation will be held 9:00 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Waxahachie Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 10 AM, with interment at Auburn Cemetery.
