Bio

Rose Cecelia Koller LeSueur passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 20, 2016 at Sandy Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Coppell, Texas. She was 92. She was born October 25, 1923 to John Rudolph and Emma Lily Roberts Koller. She was second to the youngest of nine children. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Milton Ray LeSueur and her three children, Carol LeSueur, Susan Draper, and Michael LeSueur and his wife, Kathy LeSueur; grandson Alex LeSueur and granddaughter, Dana Burke and her husband, Jamin Burke; two great-grandchildren, Liam Burke and Lawson Burke; numerous nieces, nephews, and so many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma; brothers, Ralph, Edward, Joe, James and Bill; sisters, Geneva Childress, Mary Lily Tackett, and Marjorie Koller Bell. Milton and Cecelia, "Rose" to her friends, lived in Coppell, Texas. She worked at the Dallas Morning News for many years and after "retiring the first time" and then deciding retirement wasn't her cup of tea, she went to work for the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, where she continued to work until her final retirement at the young age of 86. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. on Friday, July 22 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and a Rosary will be held the following morning, Saturday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Calvary Hill's North Chapel immediately followed by a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. There will be graveside services after the Mass. Interment will be at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Her spark for life, sense of humor and unrelenting faith in God were ever present in her life which touched those deeply who were blessed to be part of her life.
