Bio

Obituary John Owens died at a Marlin hospital Sunday afternoon and funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Bald Prairie with Rev. J.L. Wallace conducting the religious services. Mr. Owens was making his home at Florence at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow and six children besides a host of other relatives and friend throughout this section of the country. He was 46 years of age. A large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends gathered at the church and cemetery to pay their last respects to their neighbor and friend. The floral offerings were many and profuse, attesting to the high esteem in which he was held by his many friends throughout this section of the state. Many expressed sympathy to the bereaved family at the church and at the grave, and those who did not have the opportunity of personally expressing condolence will join in with the Texan in extending our sincere sympathies in this sad hour.
