Mary Laverne Clinton Krupa was born November 11, 1928, and passed from this earthly life on February 11, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Mary was the daughter of the late Miriam and George Clinton, and was born in Merkel, Texas. Mary was a member of South MacArthur Church of Christ in Irving. She was baptized into Christ in her early teens and remained a very strong Christian woman throughout her life. Mary and her family moved to Abilene in 1937 where she finished school at Abilene High School. After high school, she worked as a medical transcriptionist for various doctors and hospitals, including Hendricks Hospital, finishing her career with the hospital in Irving. In 1960, Mary married Bennie Krupa. Their son John Krupa came into their lives in 1970. Surviving Mary are her son John Krupa of Irving; granddaughter Hailey Krupa of Duncanville; her sister Norma Lee Wilkins of Groesbeck; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bennie Krupa, brothers B.G. Clinton, Mark Clinton, and John Clinton, and sisters Ima Pribble, Dene Broyles, and Clara Standard. Those of us who survive her passing will be in constant memory of her infectious smile and her faithfulness to her Lord through many times of trial and heartbreak.
