Kenneth Lyle Burda TRACY -- Services for Kenneth Lyle Burda, 73, of Tracy will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Tracy Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Tracy City Cemetery with military rites. Visitation at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today and Saturday morning. There also will be visitation at the church one hour prior to services Saturday. Mr. Burda died Wednesday at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was born Feb. 2, 1915, in St. Paul to Bernard and Johanna (Knoft) Burda. He attended public school in Primrose, Neb. He spent his boyhood in Ulen and Primrose. Gladys S. Hemmingsen and he were married in Central City, Neb., on May 8, 1937. He served in the military during World War II. They moved to Garvin in 1942. He worked at the Garvin Elevator. In 1953, they moved to Tracy. He worked at Hemmingsen Auto Sales in Tracy. He had served as commander of the Garvin American Legion Post and had served on the Garvin School Board and as treasurer of the Garvin Congregational Church. He served as elder and clerk for the Tracy Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts in Tracy. Survivors include his wife; a son, Darwin of Prior Lake; daughters, Darlene Sabinske of Garvin and Judy Wolseth of Hamel; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Doris Jacobson of Detroit Lakes and Alvera Mastin of Embarrass; and a brother, Merlin of Audubon.
