YOAKUM - Ronald Edward Macha, age 69, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 3, 2016. He was born August 21, 1946 in Yoakum to the late Alex and Lorene Lauer Macha. He married Dorothy Mae Kocian on December 26, 1964. He was a true family man, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and trips to Coushatta. He was a great story teller and was known for his hilarious and candid advice. Some knew that he was a very talented artist as well. Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Macha of Yoakum; daughters, Jacqueline Macha and husband Brian Faulkner of Houston and Victoria Macha and husband Eddie Wilson of Cedar Creek; the pride of his life, two grandsons, Christian Edward Macha and Caleb Edward Macha; brother, Larry Macha (Donna); sister-in-law, Margaret Boedeker; brothers-in-law, Martin Kocian Jr. (Geneva), Larry Kocian (Mary), Dennis Kocian (Shirley) and Leonard Kocian (Vicky); and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Martin and Annie Kocian; brother-in-law, George Boedeker Jr.; nephews, Thomas Kocian, Gary Engelmohr and Gary Engelmohr Jr. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside service 11 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Huehlefeld. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Joseph School Endowment Fund. Pallbearers are Martin Kocian Jr., Larry Kocian, Dennis Kocian, Leonard Kocian, Lloyd Boedeker, Preston Kocian, Nicholas Diamond, Chad Kocian and Christopher Laake.
