Bio
Frank E. Hermes, 89, of Victoria, passed away July 1, 2016. He was born at home on June 17, 1927 in Korth, TX to the late Steve and Mary Huhlefeld Hermes. Frank graduated from St. Joseph High School in Yoakum, TX and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Euna Brunet on June 27, 1953 in Victoria. Frank retired from Alcoa after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Euna Brunet Hermes; daughter, Lois Faye Konvicka; sisters, Julia Krejci, Rose Newell and Margaret Hermes; brothers, Ervin, Macus, Carl and Al Hermes. The family will receive guests from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Bishop Emeritus David E. Fellhauer officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
