SHINER - Agnes M. Pustka, age 85, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. She was born August 6, 1930 in Shiner to Leo and Josephine Kurtz Hybner. On November 26, 1952, Agnes and Bernard, her husband of 55 years, were married by Rev. Joseph Pustka at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and for many years made wedding cakes for many couples in the Shiner area, as well as noodles for friends and family. She was a quick-witted social butterfly, always up for a game of dominoes, 31, or even a quick trip to Coushatta. She was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Catholic Daughter's of America charter member, K.J.Z.T., V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Bernard 'Bobby' Pustka Sr; son, Bernard 'Bob' Pustka Jr.; sister, Bernadette Valis; brothers, Alois Hybner, Theo Hybner, Bennie Hybner and George Hybner. Visitation from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church followed by a 6:00 p.m. rosary. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. David Berger officiating. Burial at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home 361-293-5656.
