Mr. Jerrell Ray Slack, Sr., age 69, of Griffin, Georgia passed away, Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his home. Jerrell was born in Searcy, Arkansas on September 7, 1946. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Slack and Clara Bell Head. He was employed at Pirkle Trucking and a member of Independent Church of God. Survivors include his fiancé, Tammie Griggs; children, Sandy Scruggs and husband, Johnny, Jerrell R. Slack, Jr. and wife Betty Sue, Jimmy Slack and wife, Angie, Jasper Slack and girlfriend, Una Willis, Jonathon Slack and girlfriend, Tiffine Lord, Scott Slack and wife, Kathy, Joshua Slack and wife, Amber, Brian Slack; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers, W. C. Quinn, Larry Quinn, Earl Slack; sisters, Alice Faye Martin, Diane Carlisle, Esther Henley, and Clara Leeber, several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Jerrell Slack will be on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation a funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
