Father: Fred C Wolff Mother: Magdelena Goehring Elsie Bolen, 87, of Vancouver, Wash., and formerly of Lodi, died Feb. 23 of natural causes following a long illness. She was born Elsie Wolff April 18, 1915, in Kimama, Idaho, where she was raised. Mrs. Bolen moved to Java, S.D., with her family in 1924. She married Delbert Bolen on Aug. 28, 1937. They settled in Lodi, where she lived for 64 years before moving to Vancouver with her daughter. She worked at a local cannery for 12 years and at Goehring Meat Co. for 19 years before her retirement in 1980. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lodi and enjoyed making quilts. She is survived by her son, daughter, brothers, Alvin, Herbert and Anton Wolff; sisters, Lorraine Amerine and Lillian Volk; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Delbert Bolen, in 1981. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Newman of First Baptist Church officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
