Bio
Augusta Louise Reier was born in Rostock, Germany on December 17, 1887, and passed away at Seward on September 11, 1958 at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 24 days. On November 11, 1909 she was united in marriage with Herman Fredrick Wagenknecht in Rostock, Germany, and together they came to the United States on April 13, 1913. To this union were born 5 daughters and 3 sons, of which 6 survive. Upon arrival to the United States they moved to Seward County, Nebr. and spent most of their life on a farm. She leaves to mourn her loss her dear husband Herman, a son Walter of San Antonio, Texas, 4 daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Horner of Friend, Mrs. Elsie Miller of Milford, Mrs. Alma Collier of Beaver Crossing, Mrs. Ruth McCarroll and Wilber Wagenknecht of Mount Ayr, Iowa, their husbands and wives, 7 loving grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Anna Carlslund of Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Wagenknecht was a kind and loving mother and was endeared by a host of neighbors and friends. She was a faithful member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, a past member of Ladies Aid and Milford Country Club, and will be missed by all.
