Joe Sershen, 69, Passes Monday Ord Man Was Ill for Several Months, Will Be Laid to Rest Thursday Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 at the Hastings-Pearson chapel for Joseph Sershen who died Jan. 5 in a local hospital after an illness of several months. Joseph Sershen was born near Marysburg, Minn., Jan., 7 1879 to Joseph and Mary Beran Sershen. He spent his boyhood near Marysburg until the age of 14 when he came to Ord. He has made his home here ever since. He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing, one sister, Mrs. Anna Gray of Madison Lake, Minn., two brothers, John of Ord, and Frank of Los Angeles, one half-brother, Henry Danberry of Jamesville, Minn., and two half-sisters, Mrs. Barbara Holmquist, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Mary Holmquist of River Falls, Wis., besides many other relatives and friends, who will miss the jovial figure so familiar on the streets of Ord.
