Bio

Edward was a graduate of Norwalk High School at the age of 17. The 2nd highest in the class. He went to work at Meredith Publishing Company as soon as school was out. He worked his way up from packing books to lead pressman on Hoe 24. He met his wife Alice Pearl Ness in 1946 after he came back from serving in the U.S. Army in France, Belgium and Germany. Edward worked at Meredith's for 42 years. Alice and Edward married on June 19, 1948 in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa and were married for 57 years. They have one son. Edward passed away from complications of a broken shoulder. Following cremation, there will be a memorial service at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery.
