Bio

Wiley Holder Fuqua was born 13 September 1862 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the son of Rev. William M. Fuqua (1812-1893)and Mary Elizabeth Milam Fuqua (1825-1900). Siblings: Ann H Fuqua [Hunt] (1857-1900) Absolam S Fuqua (1861) and John Fuqua (1866). Half-siblings: Robert H. Fuqua (1848), Mary F. Fuqua (1850) and Ademina Fuqua (1854). He married Mary Ella Chesnutt and they were the parents of 3 children only one of which survived to adulthood. Children: Ina Fuqua (1888-1902), Wayland Fuqua (1893-1901) and Henry Earl Fuqua (1894-1940). He was the owner and president of Amarillo First National Bank. He died 30 May 1950 in Amarillo, Potter, Texas and was buried in the Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Name: Wiley H.
